Filipino students’ proficiency in reading, math, and problem-solving skills plummets dramatically from Grade 3 to Senior High School, according to a study by the Second Congressional Commission on Education (EDCOM 2). The study, based on assessments administered by the Department of Education (DepEd) between 2023 and 2025, reveals a steep decline in proficiency rates.
