President Bongbong Marcos has issued Executive Order No. 94 to establish the Independent Commission for Infrastructure.
The independent body will investigate corruption and anomalies in flood control projects and other infrastructure projects in the country.
A News5 source reported that former senior associate justices Antonio Carpio and Estela Perlas-Bernabe will be among the members of the independent body.
The same source reported that a forensic accountant from the SyCip Gorres Velayo & Company (SGV) will also join the independent commission.
According to the source, they were selected to lead the probe based on their integrity and capabilities.
President Bongbong Marcos earlier said that the independent body will be composed of four members.
Marcos also said he did not plan on including politicians in the independent commission.
