The ICC pointed to Sara Duterte’s July statement that she would “break her father out” of ICC detention and her attempts to discredit the court by alleging fake witnesses
and collusion. It also cited her August remarks suggesting Duterte planned to return to Davao City if freed contradicting his defense’s assurance that he would stay in the host country.
