Not really, the current administration is not against the Dolomite Beach project overall. While MMDA Chairman Don Artes (an appointee under Marcos) has criticized it for contributing to flooding by blocking drainage outfalls, DENR officials have defended the project, attributing floods to climate change and calling for science-based assessments. BBM did not oppose the said project.
take note that both MMDA and DENR are under bangag admin, di pa pina-cancel ang dolomite but bangag jr. is into investigation of the project already, naghahanap na nag justification to close the project

hindi naman talaga part ng reclamation projects yung Dolomite Beach, kahit na konektado siya sa plano to fix up Manila Bay. Basically, naglagay lang sila ng crushed dolomite sand sa shoreline ng Manila Bay para gawing artificial white-sand beach, pang-beauty at tourism. Eh, yung reclamation projects, iba yun—usually, gumagawa ng bagong lupa by filling up submerged areas with sand, soil, or rocks, like yung 22 reclamation projects sa Manila Bay. Sa Dolomite Beach, wala namang bagong lupa na ginawa; pinaganda lang yung existing shoreline with dolomite sand over a 900-meter stretch, mga 22,000 square meters, kaya hindi naman masyadong na-change yung shape ng bay.

And overall, the primary cause of Flooding in areas like Taft Avenue is the Dolomite Beach Project, as well as the outdated and insufficient drainage and treatment systems. Yung ruling hindi naman talaga ang cause ng flodding. It pressured agencies to act, and their poor execution.
wala namang kinalaman ang dolomite beach sa pagpapasara ng drainage, pinasara ang drainage since it violated the clean water act (RA9275) and it causes more pollution to the bay
Hahaha, kahit anung sabihin mo pang excuse, naka direct link yung mga drainage outfalls sa Dolomite Beach. Kung inuna pa niyang dagdagan at ayusin ang mga flood and water treatment system kaysa sa walang kwentang palamuti na yan, edit sana walang baha ngayon sa Manila at malinis na yung tubig na nilalabas sa Manila Bay.
actually inuna niyang lagyan ng treatment facilities bossing before closure, yung problem dito is that treatment plants are not designed to handle flood waters, they are only designed to handle the regular wastewater not including the flood water contamination, as i’ve said before no law is urging water treatment for flood, the law is only concerned to wastewater and not flood water kaya iiyak na lang talaga ang taga NCR hangga’t walang law vs flood
